And it Begins All Over Again...

I took off the whole month of August for a writing sabbatical - to work on my website revamp (wait til you see it!), and my book (it's coming soon...no, really!). So for the entire month of August I didn't do any traveling or speaking (well, just once!) or coaching, and you know what? I missed it!

I got a lot done but I'm back at it now; speaking, coaching, my Vistage meetings, Speakers School...wow! So I hit the ground running in September, and October is even more jam-packed. And I'm excited. Happy to be back out in the world with all my peeps!

What a beautiful letter from one of my favorite repeat clients, Country Bank. They did an appreciation night for 450 customers and it was all themed around my website - so unexpected and so creative! Here is the letter received.

Even Paul Scully, the FABULOUS bank president was wearing a purple shirt with a red logo. There were red and purple balloons everywhere, including lips ones, and my caricature was on candy bags around a red and purple candy bag table. They had colored lighting, food...just so unique. How would you like a bank like that?

Speakers School Feb 2013 had attendees from the three Cs:  Canada, Colorado and Chicago - a mixture of CEOs, employees of an architectural firm, professional speakers, educators and salespeople.
 

Day one concentrated on the craft of speaking - that's where I share the skills I've acquired over my 25 year career. 

Day two is all video coaching - attendees practice what they learned and get coaching and feedback. Day three is all about how to get booked as a speaker and/or build a career.

Business Travel - Oh joy!

A silver-lining story: On plane to Philly last nite, sat on tarmac for two hours due to weather. We finally took off, got close but then had to hover due to new weather system. Running out of fuel, diverted to Baltimore (where, ironically, I am going after my Philly speech).

Decided there was no way that plane was getting there so made an executive decision: got off plane, dashed to shuttle and made a 6:30 train to Philly. Coach was sold out so had to go biz. :).
I LOVE Amtrak - it's my favorite mode of transportation!
